So here’s the thing. There is something that you are doing right now that you absolutely love doing. Therefore when you wake up everyday, you are completely focused, passionate and driven about taking those accurate measures to become great at what you do. Whether it’s about your love for working out, or your “crazy” business idea that you want to launch up, or your creative project that you want to share with the world, whatever it may be my friend, you have encountered a negative wall of haters, people who make mean, brutal, nasty comment towards you. People who express doubt in your goals and your vision. I’m using fitness as a way to explain to you exactly what I mean…
For all my “obsessed”, “unhealthy”, “crazy”, “addicted”, fitness “freaks”, how many times have you felt like you had to respond to negative comments like:
“Dont get too muscly now. That’s gross on a girl.”
“Ew, girls who have muscles are disgusting. Did you see how muscly she was? She looks like a man.”
“Bro, did you see that guy, I bet you he uses mad roids.”
You’re doing this amazing thing for yourself yet it’s absolutely baffling that people are trying to make you feel like complete crap about yourself, complete crap for what you do. Why do people make fun of fit people? Why do people feel the need to make negative comments towards those who are passionate?
As I examine the scope of social media networks and even in my day to day encounters with people, these are the kinds of comments that I hear are being made. I am going to introduce to you a very influential woman and if you don’t know who she is, I highly recommend you to allow her in a part of your life, her name is Bella Falconi. I am baffled at the number of times people like her, people who got fit through hard work, who inspire others to do the same, are being injected with the most brutal comments on their photos.
Her image embodies discipline, self control, and hard work that many people do not have. And I’m going to tell you exactly why.
There is something to be said about why those who are so passionate and determined about something repeatedly get negative comments directed towards them, repeatedly attract some negative people, repeatedly feel like they have to respond to brutality. Well, because history is the memory of things said and done, let’s take a glance at it for a moment. Take a moment and look back at history’s most influential leaders; Einstein, the “ludicrous” theoretical physicist that developed the theory of relativity, Edison, the crazy man who spent an accumulation of relentless hours trying to make a room light up, Martin Luther King Jr, the transformational, charismatic leader who dared to make two worlds become one. At the time, these disciplined characters, these relentless human beings were considered by many —> maniacs. But look at what our world has become because of their “insanity”.
In this video, I address why people make fun of fit people, but even on a larger scope, why people make negative comments towards those who are passionate and determined. Whether you are the negative person making these comments, or the fitness freak or the passionate person, I have something I want you to hear me out on.
