Nutty Apple Cinnamon Crunch

If any of you are like you, you are a lover of many whole grain cereals. I just love the crunch in my mouth and the natural taste of the whole grain with the sweet slices of banana. But for my diet that I am on right now, I am not to have any carbs. (We’ll talk more about my current nutrition diet later)

I am currently on a high protein, moderate fat and low to no carb diet. All my carbs come from fruits or vegetables. You need to love the foods you eat in order to stick to any weight loss/fat loss plan.

For that reason, those of you who are on on a high protein low carb diet like myself or those of you who are just restricting whole grains out of your diet alone. With that being said, say hello to my no grain sweet “cereal”.

Nutty Apple Cinnamon Crunch

Crunchy from the walnuts, sweet from the vanilla, crispy from the apples,
and just about the right amount cinnamon to give it that amazing smell.
Perfect for a start to a lovely morning I’d say

The cinnamon and apples also
make it a perfect fall treat

I can assure you it’s kind of hard to have just one 😉

Nutty Apple Cinnamon Crunch

Recipe:

1 small apple
2 tbsp chopped walnuts
1 tsp organic peanut butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 scoop Isopure’s Creamy Vanilla protein powder (this makes this recipe)
1 spoonful low fat cottage cheese
1 spoonful plain nonfat yogurt

Preparation:

1. Cut apples into dices
2. Add vanilla protein powder in a small cup. Add cottage cheese and yogurt. Mix together (should be a little thick)
3. Add your diced apples and walnunts
4. Top with peanut butter and cinnamon
5. Take your little spoon and dig in!

This yummy “cereal” is fulfilling because it’s high in protein yet it’s also low in calories. Just the right combination to a good morning breakfast!
