So I am currently doing a new work out program that involves a strict meal plan and exercise regimen. I will keep you posted on that later.
But for now, I will tell you that I have been eating zero carbs from grains, starches, breads. Only carbs from veggies. I have been having a naughty sweet tooth and the way it has been acting up is unreal! Surprising considering I’ve been eating all the right things that keep the cravings away.
Anyways I needed to think of something where I could fix my sweet tooth yet still stay on track with my current diet, and so came the brilliant idea of
CHOCO -PB- PUMPKIN PIE PROTEIN TRUFFLES
Option 1: Eat it plain, like candy =D
Option 2: Eat with a softened apple (microwave for 1 minute with a dash of cinnamon
Option 3: Enjoy with 1/4 c of mixed frozen berries with a sprinkle of Pumpkin Pie spice
Bottom line, these are a quick go-to protein snack that cures every naughty sweet tooth of yours.
It’s a must have in my book 😉
CHOCO-PB-PUMPKIN PIE- PROTEIN TRUFFLES
1 scoop creamy vanilla protein powder – I used Isopure zero carb
1/2 scoop hemp chocolate protein powder
2 tbsp organic peanut butter
1/4 c flaxseed
1 tbsp water ( or until you have enough to create a nice round truffle ball)
Secret ingredient? A dash of Pumpkin pie spice
1. Mix all ingredients together and combine thoroughly until thick enough to round into a ball
2. Freeze for 2 hours and feed that sweet tooth of yours.
Tastes like candy, feels like “cheating”
It’s all a mental thing. Our minds is our biggest and strongest muscle. Once we have a tight grasp on our mentality, we can do and be anything we want. Overcome a sweet tooth by tricking it with tasty yet healthy desserts instead of reaching for a highly processed cookie!
