Sore-ry

This morning I initially opened my eyes SUPER pumped to get a good workout going. Then I got up and ow! I am sore all over. This is probably due to yesterday’s intense workout plus dancing last night at the club.

I normally work out 7 days a week unless I’m going somewhere and absolutely can’t exercise. But I definitely need to give my body a break and have a real “rest” day. After all, I do need to rest in order for them muscles to grow. If you’re anything like me, I just really don’t like the feeling of going through a day without a workout. It’s just soo fun, relieving, and makes my body/mind feel amazing.

Listening to your body is important though, so today that’s what I’m going to do. I’ll stretch a lot and maybe do light yoga instead =)

BREAKFAST


Banana Berry Oatmeal

Using less oats than normal today since I won’t be working out .
Less than 3 min to put together!
1 serving:  231 cal 36 g carbs 6 g fat 12g protein

INGREDIENTS 
1/4 c oats
water 1/3 c 
1 tbsp non fat cottage cheese
1 tsp unsalted natural peanut butter
1/4 of a banana
1 strawberry & a few blueberries
dash of pumpkin spice 
DIRECTIONS:

1) Microwave oats & water for one minute. Stir. 
2) Add cottage cheese and peanut butter. Heat in microwave for 30 sec.
3) Top with banana sliced, strawberries, blueberries, and a pumpkin pie spice for a little flavoring

I enjoyed my breakfast with green tea as always.
